Went out one day, bought a tablet and obtained Photoshop, decided to take up drawing.
Previous experience consisted of various doodling while bored enough at school and a few things done in MS Paint.
I've always been of the mind that I would rather skip all the beginner level crap and go straight for the harder things.
Because by learning these, I would learn the easier shit by default.
As such the first thing I decided upon drawing was a portrait.
It had to be of somebody famous, since painting and uploading a portrait of someone random from facebook or whatnot is creepy as shit.
I settled on Lady Gaga, since I stumbled upon what is probably one of the best known photographs of her, and it happened to possess various other details in addition to the face (such as the glove, or the plate nonsense on her cheek) as well as straight blonde hair which I for some reason thought would be easier to draw than dark or curly hair at the time.
I attempted to mimic it as best I could, and it took an assload of time. Over a month or possibly two.
Worth it though.
